On March 27th 2015, CUbiC student researchers took part in the annual DiscoverE event, an engineering outreach event in which research labs present their latest projects and innovations as a part of an ongoing effort to attract students and aspiring researchers to STEM fields. CUbiC held an exhibit at the event, showcasing and demonstrating research projects to the general public. Autonomous Training Assistant, a gaming system for rehabilitation, Parkinson's Tracker and the Social Interaction Assistant, a facial expression recognition system to assist individuals with visual impairments were a few among other projects that were presented to visitors. These presentations included live interactive demos and were well-received by an excited and enthusiastic audience throughout the day.
