Four CUbiC Undergraduate Student Researchers, Shantanu Bala, Raji Ganesan, Sichun Ai and Matthew Hartenbower have been selected as recipients of the Fulton Undergraduate Research Initiative (FURI) for this spring semester. The FURI program provides students hands-on experience during their undergrad, allowing them opportunities to do extensive research, attend workshops and participate in various research symposiums.

Shantanu, a Computer Science major, will be working on his project titled, “Exploring Cues for Visio-Haptic Sensory Substitution.”

Raji, who is also pursuing a Computer Science degree, will be working on her project titled, “Serious Game Development for Stroke Rehabilitation Using Sifteo Cubes.”

Sichun, a Computer Science major, will be working on a project titled, “Vibrotactile Cueing using Wearable Computers for Overcoming Learned Non-Use in Chronic Stroke.”

Matt, who is pursuing a Computer Systems Engineering degree, will be working on a project titled, “Exploration of Early Detection and Reporting of Traumatic Brain Injuries in Student Athletes.”
