Shayok Chakraborty, CUbiC Ph.D. Student Researcher, was featured as an Outstanding Doctoral Graduate in ASU News. Chakraborty earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering at Jadavpur University in Kolkata, India in 2006. He joined ASU in 2007 and recently earned his doctorate in computer science this spring at ASU with the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering.
His dissertation was nominated for the best thesis award in the School of Computing, Informatics and Decision Systems Engineering. His research interests include machine learning, computer vision, biometrics and assistive technology.
